Wheat Bran
The outermost layer of wheat is called wheat bran. This outermost layer, separated from the washed and dried wheat during milling, is a nutrient as healthy and valuable as wheat flour.
Wheat bran contains significantly more fiber than wheat itself. Wheat bran is particularly rich in B vitamins, including high levels of thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, and folate.
In addition to these benefits, its use in the feed industry is a significant source of plant-based protein.
