Özova Tarım, which has made significant contributions to Hatay’s economy with its investments and employment in recent years, has become Kırıkhan’s champion in the corporate tax category. This year’s top corporate taxpayers have been announced. Hatay Tax Office Director Kazım Karaca announced that the results of the 2012 tax period corporate tax returns across Hatay have been released, noting that 6,996 taxpayers filed corporate tax returns in April 2013.

Tax Office Director Karaca emphasized a 1.39 percent increase in the number of filed returns compared to the previous period, and explained that a tax base of 439,000,000 TL was declared based on the returns filed for the same period, and that 85,509,000 TL in corporate tax was accrued on this amount. Chairman Kazım Karaca noted that the total tax base declared in the 2012 corporate tax return and the accrued tax increased by 4.22% and 1.83%, respectively, compared to the previous period, and expressed his gratitude to taxpayers. Among the top 100 taxpayers with the highest corporate tax accrued in Hatay, Özova Tarım Ltd. Şti. ranked 33rd in Hatay with 340,940.79 TL and became the tax champion in Kırıkhan.

Chairman Murat İçcan stated that they would continue to mobilize all their resources to save the country money, emphasizing the sacred nature of taxes and expressing pride in being first in Kırıkhan. Emphasizing that the Özova Group is meticulously focused on tax matters, Chairman İçcan announced that they would intensify their efforts to climb the rankings. Board Member Mete İçcan stated that they, as a group, have undertaken an important mission to contribute to the national and regional economy, saying, “We have some plans to increase our trade volume. Our goal is to contribute to the regional and national economy. We are developing new goals and projects for this purpose.”
